Which areas do you cover for garden maintenance?
I provide dedicated garden maintenance and border care exclusively within Fernwood.
Do I need to be home when you work on my garden?
Not at all. I’ll message you the evening before I plan to come and as long as there is clear access to your garden (such as an unlocked side gate), I can carry out all scheduled gardening while you’re out at work or running errands.
Do you bring your own tools and equipment?
Yes, I operate completely self-sufficiently using professional hand tools and quiet, battery-powered equipment. Because I don’t use petrol machinery, you won’t have to deal with loud engines or petrol fumes – just quiet, respectful garden care that’s less likely to disturb you or the neighbours.
What makes Form & Flora Gardens different from standard garden maintenance?
Standard maintenance often focuses on quick, noisy ‘mow and blow’ jobs. Whilst I do offer lawn mowing, my gardening approach also focuses on the actual horticultural health of your garden and borders. I work entirely chemical-free, prioritising careful hand-weeding, correct seasonal pruning, and dedicated soil improvement so your plants genuinely thrive rather than just survive.
Do you take garden waste away?
No – we don’t hold a valid UK garden waste licence so don’t take any garden waste away. Instead, our customers usually have a local council garden bin (approx £40 per year) that I dispose of garden waste in. Alternatively, everything can be bagged up for you to dispose of or I can help you establish a discreet compost area to feed your soil naturally over time.
Can you help me decide what to plant in my garden?
Absolutely. I offer custom planting schemes tailored to your garden’s exact light, aspect, and the heavy clay soil we have here in Fernwood, all handed over to you as a beautifully designed PDF document. Once we’ve chosen the perfect plants for your space, I can also take care of all the physical planting and soil preparation for you when they arrive, ensuring they get the best possible start.
